Oh my July! Quite a busy month. Full of changes and adjustments. I actually haven’t been able to write anything because I think my brain got pretty overwhelmed. But things are good. And I am so grateful for everything happening.
1. New Work
You guys know it. I’ve already started with my new job. And it’s really awesome thus far. It’s pretty much the same with my first job only way more systematic. I’m enjoying it. And that’s a really good thing, right? The working environment also isn’t toxic like my last job. And I don’t have a toxic officemate. Everyone actually talks with each other. Everyone is so approachable. And I have an awesome boss. Things are really going well so far.
2. New Acquaintances Slowly Turning into Friends
Because I’m in a new place, I’m really bound to meet new people. And I am blessed to be part of a team who are comprised of marvelous people. Those people welcomed me with arms wide open. I swear, the amount of “daldal” I made this month is more than the amount of “daldal” I made on my six months in my last job. Ganon kalala. But they still think that I’m too quiet. Haha. Di nila alam madaldal na ko sa lagay na ‘to.
3. Thai Cave Rescue
Oh my God guys! You don’t know how invested I was in that incident. I first found out about it when the Thai Soccer kids and their coach were found by the two British cave divers. I assumed they were finally getting out. But a few days later, I found out that they were still not rescued due to the difficulties the rescuers were facing. If you are following me on Twitter, you probably noticed that my tweets were mostly updates about the rescue operations of the Thai Navy Seal during that period. I’m pretty sure I was not the only one. The whole world was gripped as to how the rescuers would get the boys and their coach out alive.
When everyone finally got out, I swear to you guys I cried so much. As in ang oa ng lola mo kala mo anak ko yung mga bata. Haha.
4. Call Me By Your Name
I’m pretty sure that some would raise their eyebrows at me by saying that I am in love with the book and the film adaptation of “Call Me By Your Name” but I really don’t care. I’m so soft for Elio and Oliver. Been meaning to watch it for months but I wanted to read the book first and it took a while before I got my hands on a copy of it. I’m so happy I got to do both this month.
5. Book Haul
Bought four lovely books this month. I already finished one of them and I have just started with another. The daily traffic is just ruining everything. It is so damn tiring! I can’t read upon going home. I just want to sleep. Anyway, I would like to thank Fully Booked and National Bookstore for their sales this month. Got those book real cheap, they’re such steals.
6. No Anxiety Attack
During my last months in my last job, I frequently get anxiety attacks. I remember back in May, I was even brought to the hospital because my palpitations got so bad that I was literally trembling all over. But this month, despite all the changes I am forced to face and despite all the new people I got to meet, I’ve had zero anxiety attacks. As in zero! Nada! Hay! Thank you so much, Lord!
July was pretty cool. How about you? Had July been good to you too? I have some things I am looking forward to this coming August and I hope that the Mercury retrograde won’t ruin my fun. Are you ready to face the month of Oh-Ghost, I mean August? Well, I know I am. I hope you are too!
